  i remember going to a new school, and before i said anything there were a few kids poking fun at jehovah.

  jehovah this and that .

  at no stage did i ever hear anyone mention any other god or religion in conversation or playground banter.

  The article can apply to any country in the world, kidnappings are suppose to be taking place in Texas, Arizona. Their policy should be to change "one person" to a forced "absolute" two persons at the door. The Kingdom Ministry should tell the publishers how field servive is done in the Bronx. How many Bethelites would work the ruin down parts of New York, or government apartments alone? Allowing young ones, elderly and women to go "door to door" alone, is wrong!

  @ Blondie and James Wood,

  I heard tales of the congregation in Colorado by a CO who said he was the "trouble shooter" during the meltdown. Do you remember the time frame of the Congregation In Colorado, that went off on their own? If it is pre-1979, I know the trouble shooter, he is probably 85 years old now. I would put this in the time of 1960s, he was in South Texas in the early 1950s.

  @blacksheep: The Romanian people don't like to put up with wavering crap! I understand how they would not waffle under the skinny palm tree of doctrine, blowing every which way, with each new breeze. Nice thread, thank you!

  when charles taze russell, or judge rutherford, or fred franz published magazines, pamphlets and books about future matters.....the future they spoke about had not yet happened.

  whatever they wrote could well be true.

  what reasons they gave could be sound ones.

  @maksm What makes a person qualified to preach the Bible, another man or institute that claims God's backing? I doubt Terry would think the

  other Churches in Christendom are backed by God. The crazy writtings of the "Puritans" in the early United States, and their insane fear of demons,

  witches, bears, Indians and their ability to slaughter with no conscience. I hear Fundamental preachers talk about the "good christians" who had

  "thanksgiving with the Indians and how they benefited each other". The Christian benefit to the American Indians, was ethnic cleaning and the

  slaughter of their race! What qualifies as heretical is not so easy to prove. The Holy Scriptures comment on the ordinary men in the Book Of Acts,

  who were stepping on the toes of the Jewish Leaders. The Christians were apostates from Judaism, and the Muslims will say the Jews were

  apostates from the teachings of Abraham.

  The damage done by JWs, is nothing when weighed against the history of all the major religions. Poor

  teachers versus blood lusting, Inquisitional, the rape and pillage of the "unSaved" world. Spain and Latin America, England with her long reach, as recent as the England- China War 1800s. Opium Wars.

  Wars propped by religion and business) Crusades, Purge of the Moors (Spain late 1400s). The sins of the Watchtower leaders pale's in comparison

  with the blood dripping swords of a Holy War, thats lasted for almost two thousand years. The exquiste devices used to torture the Indians, by

  the Spanish church, could not have been developed by other than Satan himself. To combat the propaganda by the C.I.A. and Catholic Church,

  some of these devices were displayed to the public, to show the Anti-Dictator dissedents, how evil the Church treated their ancients. When weighed against the other diabolic sources, the devil I slept with, was not as wicked as the one I did not.

  Looks like they are able to build in this "Wicked System" and plan for their future too. The average JW is told to be happy with their mobile home or trailer park home. The average JW is told to "not hunker down now" stay agile, don't put roots down, be flexible and ready to move at the General's command.

  I know of at least twenty who have either died or faded, multipule disfellowshipings are in a different catagory. The Circuit Assembly's Baptism Talk, is still performed even when there are no candidates, it's rather strange.
